The Conference of the Birds is a lyrical poem of the 12th century AD by the Persian poet Farid ud-Din Attar, describing the journey of the birds, guided by the wisest of them all, the hoopoe, in search of their mythical king, the bird Simurgh.

This edition includes an anthology of excerpts from The Conference of the Birds by the poet Anthi Leousi, who also rendered them into Greek. The book is illustrated by the Austrian painter Gerald Brettschuh.
