Tassis Papaioannou is an architect and emeritus professor at the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He has participated with his work in architectural and painting exhibitions in Greece and abroad, and has taken part in major national architectural competitions with proposals that have earned a significant number of awards.
At the same time, he actively contributes to public discourse on architecture and the city by publishing articles and commentary in Greek and international books, journals, and newspapers. Among other works, he has published the books Architecture of the Everyday (2005), Architecture and the City (2008), and Thoughts on Architectural Composition (2015).
In collaboration with painter Alekos Fassianos, he has presented the exhibitions Pictorial and Architectural Space (Athens 2003 and Thessaloniki 2005) and Color and Light in Painting and Architecture (Athens 2009), and together they co-authored the books For an Anarchic City (2004) and Architecture and Color (2009). In 2015, he held a solo painting exhibition titled Architectured Landscapes.
